Naruto - Chapter 1

I bought the first volume of Naruto for just 1.85€, read about it here. So I guess I need to start the series? 😁
For a manga that is 20 years old, it holds up. Yes, you can tell it’s not super modern if you compare the drawing style to Blue Lock.
Why 5 stars?
- This chapter is like 50 pages long, there’s so much going on, the pacing is so fast, and it’s great 👏
- The feels! You go from comedy to heartbreak in only a chapter. Maybe it’s because I watched the anime years ago but the final pages where Mr Iruka, the teacher, gives his headband to Naruto proving that he’s finally a ninja. The recognition he so desperately craved. Such a beautiful student-teacher bond.
The following chapters are not as long, the index gave that away. Let’s see how the pace moves from here 🤔
PS: I want to eat ramen so bad now! 🍜
