Talk about intensity! Imagine reading this in the Weekly Shōnen Magazine, I would have been blown away. Not that there are no other mangas with a first volume like this but it’s no wonder it took off like it did.
I don’t like soccer, I don’t play it (never been) even if I’m from Spain but so far I like it.
Felt a little bit awkward with the sexist remarks from the meeting about Anri, definitely not a manga for kids.
Feels a little strange that the cover does not portray Isagi as it is inside this first chapter.
The drawing is top notch, I couldn’t find any lazy panels and they are all handcrafted with care. The action panels also look very good, it conveys the intensity of the shots.
Will they be able to keep this up?
