Bakuman - Chapter 17

Was fun to see Bleach, Naruto, and Dragon Ball volumes in some of the panels. It gives Bakuman like… authenticity, that it looks more real. At least it looks to me no longer fiction but like a story that has happened and continues to happen with aspiring artists in Japan.
Nizuma being unprofessional with his editor, the excuse “he’s just a kid” doesn’t cut for me. It shows a lack of responsibility. The problem here is that he’s even being rewarded for it. The chief editor should’ve told him “No, you’re doing the series it was agreed on, if you have spare time work on the other”. But instead green-lighted the idea of the new series. He effectively undermined Nizuma’s editor, created precedence, and showed him his cards.
